To update to latest firmware all you have to do is this:
-go to https://ui.com/download
-select your device latest firmware , and copy the download link address (command+C)
-go to your terminal and type: ssh ubnt@192.168.1.1 (of course use the ip of your device)
-will ask for a password , if is not already adopted type: ubnt (if it is adopted look for ssh credential in your unifi controller )
-now type : update https://yourfirmwarepastehere.bin ("https://yourfirmwarepastehere.bin" this is a example , instead paste the link we copied at the beginning )
the device will update and reboot
